YUCCA: Free Market Pop-Up

Long before “pop-ups” became shorthand for brand discovery, YUCCA was already building a physical presence in Denver through thoughtful, community-driven retail experiences. One of those chapters included our time at the Denver Free Market, where we hosted a YUCCA pop-up in the heart of downtown Denver — a project that reflected our ongoing commitment to Colorado’s creative and independent retail scene.

From day one, YUCCA has been rooted in Denver, curating and presenting brands with longevity, intention, and craftsmanship at their core.

A Denver Free Market Pop-Up, Pre-Pandemic

Our YUCCA pop-up at the Denver Free Market took place before the pandemic reshaped how small businesses operated nationwide. Located at 1801 Blake Street, the Free Market served as a hub for local makers, designers, and independent retailers — making it a natural extension of YUCCA’s values.

At the pop-up, we brought our carefully curated assortment into a shared retail space that emphasized discovery, connection, and slow shopping. It was an opportunity to meet longtime Denver customers in a new setting, while also introducing YUCCA to those just beginning to explore the city’s independent retail landscape.

Curated Brands, Longstanding Relationships

The Denver Free Market pop-up featured a selection of designers that have long been part of YUCCA’s story — brands chosen for their craftsmanship, ethical production, and timeless appeal.

During our time there, we showcased pieces from designers such as:

Atelier Delphine

Black Crane

7115 By Szeki

Maria Stanley

First Rite

Micaela Greg

Ozma Of California

LOQ

And other thoughtfully selected independent brands.

These labels weren’t trend-driven additions — they reflected the same slow, intentional approach to buying that has defined YUCCA since our earliest days in Denver.

Why This Chapter Still Matters

While we closed the pop-up during the pandemic, our time at the Denver Free Market remains an important chapter in YUCCA’s history. It speaks to our longevity as a Denver retailer and reinforces something we often hear in-store: YUCCA is not new here.

We’ve been part of Denver’s evolving retail landscape for years — adapting thoughtfully, weathering change, and continuing to invest in community, design, and quality.
