Kordal Studio SS19 — An Archive of Ethical Knitwear

Kordal Studio brought a thoughtful, understated approach to knitwear that felt both modern and enduring. Though the brand is no longer in business, the SS19 collection remains part of YUCCA’s archive as an example of design rooted in ethics, craftsmanship, and ease.

Founded by Mandy Kordal in 2012, Kordal Studio grew from a deep understanding of garment construction and a desire to make clothing responsibly. The SS19 collection captured that philosophy through breathable knits, relaxed silhouettes, and a quiet confidence that transcended seasonality.

Knitwear Designed for Warm Weather

Kordal Studio SS19 challenged the idea that knitwear belongs only to colder months. Lightweight yarns and open constructions made these pieces wearable even in the heat of summer, offering softness without heaviness and structure without restriction.

Kordal Studio SS19 knitwear pieces displayed on a minimal clothing rack, featuring ribbed tops and skirts in neutral tones.

The collection leaned into simplicity — drawing inspiration from ’90s minimalism and everyday dressing — while maintaining a strong commitment to ethical production.
